NCERT – National Council of Educational Research and Training

NCERT stands for National Council of Educational Research and Training. It is an autonomous body set up by government of India. It was established in 1961 for the betterment of educational system. It’s headquarter in New Delhi, India. It assists States and Centrals government to provide qualitative improvement in the school educational system. It’s main function are as follows –

• Develop national curriculum framework.
• Develops syllabus for all classes.
• Published textbooks for all subjects, research reports, teachers guides, journals, education kit etc.
• Conducts research and development in educational system to improve better teaching experiences.
• Conduct various teachers learning programmes for the improvement of teaching.
• Also, develop and promotes the use of educational technology across the schools.

NCERT textbooks and syllabus are followed by many boards including CBSE. It is also recommended to study NCERT books for the references of various competitive exams. NCERT books covers all the topics from basic to high levels.
