CAT exam 2024 details

The MBA admission process through CAT consists of three stages. First, you need to appear for the 2-hour long CAT exam. Then, the IIMs and other participating colleges declare the CAT result and cut-offs. Finally, there are WAT-PI rounds and a final shortlist of eligible candidates. Clearing CAT is not easy, as the exam consists of 66 challenging questions.

The competition level is also very high, with only 0.02% of students getting into IIMs. To achieve a percentile range of 90+ requires a well-planned and meticulously designed preparation strategy of at least 3-4 months. It’s important to note that the cut-offs for IIMs usually range from 95-99+ percentile.
