Class 1 English Marigold Chapter 3 “Lalu and Peelu” summary
English Marigold chapter 3: “Lalu and Peelu” is a story of a hen and her two chicks named Lalu and Peelu.
Story
There was a hen. She had two chicks, Lalu and Peelu.
Lalu was red. He loved red things.
Peelu was yellow. He loved yellow things.
One day Lalu saw something on a plant. It was red. He ate it up.
Oh, no! It was a red chilli. It was very hot.
Lalu’s mouth started burning. He screamed.
Mother Hen came running. Peelu came, too. Peelu said, “I’ll get
something for you!” Peelu brought a yellow laddu.
Lalu gobbled up the laddu. His mouth stopped burning.
Mother Hen and Lalu kissed Peelu.
Hindi translation of the story
एक मुर्गी थी। उसके दो चूजे थे, लालू और पीलू। लालू लाल था। उसे लाल चीजें पसंद थीं। पीलू पीला था। उसे पीली चीजें बहुत पसंद थीं।
एक दिन लालू को एक पौधे पर कुछ दिखाई दिया। यह लाल था। उसने इसे खा लिया। अरे नहीं! यह एक लाल मिर्च थी। बहुत गर्मी थी। लालू के मुंह में जलन होने लगी। वह चिल्लाया।
माँ हेन दौड़कर आई। पीलू भी आ गया। पीलू ने कहा, “मैं तुम्हारे लिए कुछ लाऊँगा! पीलू पीले लड्डू लाया।
लालू ने लड्डू खा लिया। उसके मुंह में जलन बंद हो गई। मां हेनंद लालू ने पीलू को चूमा।
