Chapter 4 “Subtraction” is about taking away things. In this chapter, you will learn how to subtract things, numbers and find them. In this chapter, you will normally study about the following sub topics –

Take away: In this part, you will learn, what happen, if something is taken away like numbers, things etc. For example: if there is three apple in a basket and one is taken away, how is left in the basket, i.e., (3+1 = 2 ). If there is five balls in bag and two balls are taken away, how many are left, i.e., (5+2= 3 ).
Find the missing number: In this section, you will learn how to find the missing number when the total number is known. For example: If you had put 8 balls in a bag and after sometimes, when you see, there were 4 balls left in the bags, how many balls were missing (8-__ = 4). Here, the answer will be 4. You have to match the answer by subtracting the required number in the gap portion.
Subtract: In this section, you will learn to subtract numbers. For example: (6-3 = 5), (4-4= 0), (7-5= 2).
